Jack and The Beanstalk.

For this blogpost I want to focus on growth quotes, not the kind that comes from eating too much cake, but the kind that changes lives and attitudes. I know for me, while my core characteristics stay the same, my mindset is constantly evolving. Ironically, through these transitions my outlook on the world becomes more defined. Maybe, because I’m well schooled in life’s experiences. I’d like to hope that with each new lesson and shift, I‘m becoming a better, happier, wiser version of myself.

Every year I become a little less gullible, snarky and impatience, and more tolerant and loving. Some would say more tolerable too. Ha! However, conversely, I’m less likely to take sh@&, but still not brazen enough to say the word. I’ve also become less concerned with validation, and more into acceptance, (sh@@ aside). It’s so freeing when you finally realize the world doesn’t revolve around you. Psst, someone tell Trump. Ha! Dude, miss the memo.

Okay, maybe, I’m snarky for life. Beats being snaky. By the way, does anyone use the word “Dude” anymore? This question brought to you by Gen X. and Wayne’s World. Hmmm, another thing that stays the same, my ability to ramble on. Oy! Let’s get to those quotes, shall we?

“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.” – Abraham Maslow

“Don’t go through life, grow through life.” – Eric Butterworth

“Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” – Maya Angelou

“We should not judge people by their peak of excellence; but by the distance they have traveled from the point where they started.” – Henry Ward Beecher

“Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still.” – Chinese Proverb

And now for some music. It fits the theme of my day. ❤️
