Life, Music And The Maine

Things

1. Four more weeks and I’ll have my Master’s degree.  Yes! Graduating with honors too.
2. I’m currently interviewing for criminologist jobs and adjunct professor positions.
3. I’ve been asked to contribute one of my poem to a journal publication and another for a book
4. Planning a trip to Quebec City in the fall. It’s looks like a gorgeous, historic place.
5. On a negative note,  tired of the news. Burnt out on it all. Maybe I’ll stay in Canada. Ha!

Overall life is good and I’m please to be finding my footing. Better late than never. F. Scott was right when he said …

“For what it’s worth… it’s never too late, or in my case too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.“

And now for some music!!

Maine isn’t just a state you know. Check it out and have a wonderful Sunday xx

“In the backseat of the taxi. When you told me we were only two punch-drunk souls all tangled in the wind. And in the backseat when you asked me”Is the sadness everlasting?” I pulled you closer, looked at you and said “Love, I think it is””

  1. Congrats to YOU. I wish you very well. I hope that you enjoy Quebec City. I was many years ago. Unfortunately, it was with my family, and we did not do much sightseeing so I did not get to see much of anything. It is a beautiful city. I hope that you enjoy it. I wish a great and lovely lady well.

  2. uh-oh, I better stop living on the edge of the law 🙂 F Scott is correct, by the way. & Canada rocks… I moved here from NJ a decade ago and the place is incredibly sensible, filled with interesting people.

      1. me too. I think US is the first to confront the inherent unsustainable chaos of the capitalist worldview… what it does in response to this will matter alot; other countries will soon be in similar boats.

  3. 3 questions. 🙋🏻
    1. Are you on the criminologist track that teaches you how to solve crimes or to get away with them?
    2. Which track pays better?
    3. Have you really just been on a prolonged stakeout to catch Cookie Monster in the act all this time? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Anyway… those all sound like nice things. Congrats and keep up the good work. 💜

  5. Hi Tosha, great to be in touch again. Well done! Enjoy your new career, and Canada, my wife Genevieve was born in Quebec (Montreal). Will there still be time for your music and poetry when you start teaching? Best wishes and blessings, Charles.

      1. Health is coming right. Moderation Is great and necessary, but sometimes creativity just bursts out, and moderation falls by the way. This is when your health and sleeping hours are at risk. Best wishes and blessings, Charles.
