I just want a corner to lie
down in.
Pull the covers over
my heart.
Let it get buried in
snow.
Somewhere underground
where the coordinates get lost
A hideout from worry and the
slow burn out of life.
My calendar whited out.
My fingers too cold to hold.
My lips too raw to kiss the end note.
And I can live in the moment
before.
A frozen vessel alone
in the stillness.
My soul encased in a thousand
miles of Arctic air.
-Tosha Michelle

Truly, I’m not a fan of hot weather. I love fall and winter.

Yes, I don’t like it when it’s too hot but will take it over cold any day. I think most are like me but it’s nice to be unusual and clearly it’s an inspiration for you.

Yes, well to be fair. I live in the South. Our winters are relatively mild. I might feel differently if I lived in Minnesota.

I love this! Winter used to be my favorite season, but after a few years living in Maine, I’m kind of done with it! I just want it on Christmas. Then, I’ll take Spring, year-round 🙂

Thank you. I can imagine winters in Maine would be brutal

I love this, often also look for a corner to catch up with my self, here though there is only rain, it snows in the mountains around us. Thanks for choosing this track by the little river band,. I did not like them much when growing up, but like them more and more now, and see dolphins and whales, which my favorite animals, what more could one want! Best wishes and blessings, Charles. 🙂

A hideout from worry and the slow burn out of life.
This paints a chilling picture, in a even still summer night.
Consumed & given in, between the longing for love, & the struggle for a long ends deep sleep of peace.
Great piece of work, as always. xo
