Lyrical

He says I’m storm water
and chocolate cake.
The hot static of hair being
brushed.

I say take me in your arms
and speak your proverbs
upon me.

I watch him undress, his hands
soild verbs. I turn away to keep
my sanity.

By the time he touches my shoulders
delirium and lightening have set in.

      1. Glad you’re doing well! 😘🌹
Thank you, it’s nice to be back, tho still gaining momentum. I so missed everyone and just didn’t have the energy to read or comment, much less write. The drain of the move caught me by surprise!

      1. No, thank you!

I haven’t been able to post my 2 cents on your missives for the past couple of months, but I just an inclination to try Internet Explorer and, viola!

  1. Tosha, I cannot ever speak ill of your words, thank you for sharing. I love the last line, especially, but “I say take me in your arms and speak your proverbs upon me” is very strong, as well. It’s always prophetic, in a way.

About the image, it is captivating and leaves me speechless. I cannot express how I feel about it, because I’m still processing it myself.

Just WOW, every single bit of this post!
