Flowers of what is pollinated
by bees of what might have
been. Mundane afternoons married
to evenings of TV and ringtones
that have forgotten how to ring.
An old journal reminds her
it’s not too late
to resurrect a dream or lost
shimmer, to right her caddy-corner
heart left askew by
a lover’s hands. She grasps
for the notes under air,
leaving the past to glide
past and out the door.
She bows to the cartography of light
and presses the guidebook to
her chest. Knowing it’s time
to rise and go, to spiral out
into the unmoored and unknown.

  1. Oh wow! So very inspiring and very familiar. I was going to cut and paste my favorite lines from this but it pretty much would mean putting your whole poem into the comments. So i’ll just tell you I absolutely love this entire thing. ❀ you’re amazing, Tosha.

  2. Truly Beautiful. Taking time to retake a simpler time. The old nature of things contains so much peace, if we seek it’s hand of wisdom and wonders, to hear her whisper’s.
Thank you, I β™‘ & cherish your Sunday Go to meeting ourselves.

      1. Oh I see, ha-ha! Stay sweet, just say “fuck off” or “no” with a smile and a “thank you”! πŸ˜‰ (But never take advice from me, unless you have someone to bail you out. Ha-ha!)
