Sometimes I sing in incomplete rhymes.
I write in crayon and leave
my shoes beside the sandbox.
I sign my letters with x and o.
I ponder in doubt, the crisscross musings
speaking out loud.
Sometimes a woman needs
flowers out of season, homegrown vegetables,
sex, and easy to read instructions.
Instead she meditates on ice cream
and the Home Shopping Channel.
Attempts to become enlightened.
Prays to paper and pen.
Looking for an all encompassing view.
Hoping for an all embracing embrace.
She offers herself to drumbeat and sage.
The rhythm under the air, turns her heart
to some inferior door, finding something buried
in red.

With all due respect I think I could learn to despise you! I write something I think is okay and then you write that.
Well done the true poet. I am but a scribbler in your shadow.

You’re so talented. I could never write something like Merlin or make a poem about a hedgehog interesting. You got mad skills, kid. Now back to snark, Snarky McSnark.

I doesn’t weigh me down that you are so brilliant. It pushes me to one day be as good and then kick yer ass five days from Sunday! Haha

Ha-ha. Don’t just sing it. Bring it and you do, you write faster than I can read and I’m a speed reader. 😉 It’s a shame your personality isn’t as engaging as your poetry

Oh, I like this very much, Tosha — enjoy the playfulness of it. And the song, which I’m ashamed to say is unfamiliar to me, is quite lovely; your voice is lovely as well. 🙂

Thank you. I first heard the song in the movie Runaway Bride. I thought it was beautiful xo

Huh! Did you just check it? I did and it worked on my end, but earlier I’d made it “private” only so that it put in on a “pause.” Let me know it it still doesn’t work. I just paid WP the yearly $ for the cdogco.com thingie (technical term, lol).

I love it, and feel it. We all need breaks, and variety is the spice of life! Your voice is so beautiful, and enchanting lady. My oh my. I think you can join Daniel Craig, eating crackers in my bed…as long and you promise to sing me to sleep. 🙂

Cool. Come do my chores for me. Consider me your dark passenger. I’m sitting in the sunshine. It’s so pretty. As for you, those chores won’t up and do themselves so git, tarnation.. don’t make me tell you again
