The seasons change, we peel off our regrets
But still look for an opening in the air.
Love always leaves a residue, a stain.
The slate always slightly smudged.
Our hearts striations of clouds.
Memories come and go
with its fountain
of nostalgia flowing over
us without warning.
Blurring the landscape of
time until it unfolds back.
Dividing then from now.
Dividing soul from sanity,
until all that remains is an
oracle, an empty beach
dark waves of sorrow,
a tide long since receded and
an icy wind blowing in yearning
from yesterday’s yesteryears

So poignant, beautifully written. A new favorite! (Shout doesn’t remove the stain of love’s residue, either does Biz.) ~ Mia

I’d like to hear you read this one Tosha, there’s something very beautiful going on in it.
I found this page through moon-skittles blog, I wonder if it appeals to you? It did me, I considered having a go at it myself, but I’m not sure I have the time, as I have less time than I need as it is XX

Time as humans apply it, I believe, is nothing more than an expression of our need for order. God’s order is very different from ours and is revealed to us when the abstract grid we impose on our life is peeled back. Eternity is always, now with no past and no future. This is a deep, lovely poem.
